Our puppy carers are volunteers that nurture our pups from 3 - 12 months of age, (can occasionally be shorter / longer). After this time the pup will leave your home to be trained for their important role. The whole Puppy Carer process is completely at NO COST to the volunteer. All we ask for is your time. You will have a visit from a staff member around two times per month to help nurture and expose the pup to our standards. You are expected to practice and expose the pup per the staff members requirements in-between the visits. Generally if you're having fun with your pup and exposing them to different stimuli then you're on the right track. Please note that we generally use non shedding breeds. This massively aids with the house cleaning and allergies. Please see below questions.
Our Puppy Carers need to spend most of the day nurturing, exposing the pups to different environments/stimuli/scenarios and teaching basic commands/manners. All whilst you and the pup are having fun.
Our pups require a space in the garden that is fully secure and big enough for play time, along with their own dedicated space for toileting. Stairs may also need to be blocked with child gates along with any other reasonable request.
Other pets in the home can sometimes help or hinder our pups nurture. If you have other pets we will need to assess the home and impact from the other pets before placing a pup with you.
